Capital will spend the first week of its season in Winter Haven, Fla., from Feb. 25 through March 3. Opponents and times for those contests will be announced at a later date.

The team will face its first Ohio opponent, Ohio Wesleyan University, on April 7 in Delaware and then the Crusaders will host the Bishops the next day at Clowson Field for Cap's home opener. Each of those games is scheduled for 4 p.m.

The Crusaders will then travel to Lexington, Ky. on March 10 to take on Transylvania University at 1 p.m. and Denison University at 4 p.m. A week later, Capital has a three-game series against Franklin University in Indiana; a doubleheader on March 17 at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. and the finale on March 18 at noon. A home-and-home series with Wittenberg University on March 20 and 21 at 6 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively, rounds out the bulk of Capital's nonconference schedule.

Capital will start its Ohio Athletic Conference season on the road against John Carroll University on March 24 with games at 1 and 4 p.m. The Crusaders will play one game against Bluffton University on March 27 and then finish March off by hosting Ohio Northern University on March 30.

April begins with a road trip to Marietta College on April 7 and a one-gamer against Wabash College on April 8. A trip to Muskingum on April 10 precedes a home series against the defending OAC Tournament champion Otterbein University Cardinals on April 14. The Cardinals finished 2017 with a 31-14 overall record.

Wilmington College and Baldwin Wallace University await the Crusaders on April 18 and 21, respectively, and on the 28th, Capital hosts the University of Mount Union, the reigning OAC regular season champs. The Purple Raiders were 16-2 in conference play last season and were 31-11 overall.

Capital will finish its regular season with two road series, one against Wooster College on April 29 and the second against Heidelberg University on May 5.
