COLUMBUS, Ohio – Capital University is set to serve as the proud host of one of four regional championship sites for The Basketball Tournament (TBT), the summer's premier basketball event, this weekend. Tickets for the three-day event are currently on sale and games set to begin this Friday night at 6 p.m.

TBT features a 72-team bracket of top-notch professional basketball, featuring college alumni teams, international basketball stars, ex-NBA players, future NBA players, and more competing in a single-elimination 5-on-5 tournament for a winner-take-all $2 million prize.
The spectacle of the Midwest Region will be Team Scarlet & Gray, a team comprised of some of the best recent alumni of The Ohio State University's basketball program. Team Scarlett & Gray, led by OSU Men's Basketball Director of Player Development and former Buckeye standout point guard Scoonie Penn, announced that Ohio State legends Greg Oden and Jared Sullinger will be on the team's roster. They will join the likes of William Buford, Aaron Craft, Jon Diebler, Dallas Lauderdale and David Lighty from last year's team while also adding Byron Mullens.
Team Scarlet & Gray advanced to the semifinals of last year's TBT. It will play its first game on Saturday at 4 p.m. against the winner of Friday night's matchup between Charlotte Chess Center and West Virginia Wildcats.
Play will begin on Friday night at 6 p.m. at The Capital Center Performance Arena. After two Friday night games, play will resume at 8:10 a.m. and continue through the night. Regional championship games will be played on Sunday beginning at 12 p.m.
