COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Capital University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is asking fans to join them in aiding Hurricane Harvey victims in Texas by bringing donations of clothing and money to this Saturday's home football game.

SAAC will be stationed inside Bernlohr Stadium to take any donations of money or clothing from fans coming to this Saturday's football game. All donations will be donated to the Red Cross to be used in relief efforts following the horrific damages incurred by Hurricane Harvey in the Houston, Texas area. All donations are greatly appreciated.

Donations will be taken through the third quarter of Saturday's game outside of the East Mound Street main entrance to The Capital Center. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

The Capital University Athletic Department will also make a large donation toward SAAC's efforts. SAAC will then deliver its collection on Monday, Sept. 4 to a local collection agency.

The SAAC represents the Division III student-athlete voice in the Division III governance structure by reviewing legislation; identifying significant student-athlete issues; implementing national student-athlete based initiatives; encouraging community outreach; and enhancing Division III student-athlete involvement in and understanding of Division III in general.  The SAAC is also the committee that is primarily responsible for maintaining and coordinating the division's nationwide partnership with Special Olympics.
