Top Moment #7: Hines Scores, Wilson Saves to Preserve Win Over Kenyon as Cap Sets Program Record with Seven-Game Winning Streak

After opening the season with a loss, the women's lacrosse team bounced back to go on a seven-game winning streak. During the streak, Cap knocked off Kenyon College, 11-10, thanks to a game-winning goal by Kara Hines and a last minute save by Maddie Wilson.
With just over three minutes left in regulation, Hines put Capital on top of Kenyon 11-10. Her goal would end up being the game winner. After a foul inside the shooting area gave the Ladies a free position shot attempt, Avery Morgan took the shot for Kenyon. Wilson came up huge with a one-on-one save to seal the victory for the Crusaders. With the win over Kenyon, Cap extended its winning streak to six games.
The Crusaders were not done yet. The next week Capital defeated crosstown rival Otterbein University to extend its streak to a record seven games. Makenna Ozenghar scored five goals to lead all scorers in the 15-4 road victory.
Honorable Mention: Korri Titus becomes first member of the 200 point club for women's lacrosse
It's only fitting that on Senior Day 2017, Korri Titus became the first player in the women's lacrosse program history to record 200 points in a career. With 7:48 left in regulation, Titus took a free position shot and beat the Ohio Northern goalkeeper. Titus finished her career with 127 goals and 76 assists, for a total of 203 points.
