Top Moment #9: Men's Golf Earns First Team Win in Five Years
Throughout the past five years there have been many individual accomplishments for Capital Men's Golf. Despite these accomplishments, the Crusaders had not stood atop the team standings in a tournament over the last five seasons. Thanks to a stellar team performance, that all changed this year.
Sophomore Logan Holbrook led the Crusaders in a monumental victory at the Warrior Intercollegiate Invite at Indianwood Country Club. Holbrook put forth his best single round of the season, and of his young career, posting a score of 70 in 18 holes. Holbrook's score was good enough for first place overall in the tournament.
Capital put forth a team score 304, which was more than enough to bring home its first team tournament victory since Fall 2011. That victory was recorded at the Kenyon Fall Invitational on Sept. 25, 2011 when the Crusaders shot 315-322-637 to defeat a five-team field by a minimum of six strokes.
The victory also served as the first team victory for Andy Garcia as a head coach.

Honorable Mention: Logan Holbrook Earns Two Wins Over Spring Break
Sophomore Logan Holbrook put forth a great showing as Capital University Men's Golf traveled down to South Carolina to partake in a triad of duals against Saint Anselm College (N.H.) and Rosemont College (Pa.) over spring break. Holbrook earned his first win on day one when he shot a round low score of 79. Holbrook beat out the next nearest competitor, Saint Anselm's Steve Hunt, by two strokes for the top spot.
Holbrook repeated by taking top medalist honors for the second straight day. Holbrook also shot better on day two by three strokes, posting an 18-hole score of 76.
