COLUMBUS, Ohio – Over the holiday break and to start the New Year, Capital Athletics has been busy bringing fans of the Purple and White more ways to enjoy Crusaders athletic events online. Through its broadcasting partner, BoxCast, fans can now enjoy an audio-only version of home broadcasts as well as the ability to watch home Cap events with video on Facebook via Facebook Live.

Fans may have seen Cap Athletics beta testing these new technologies, brought to you by our friends at BoxCast, over the last couple of weeks. Cap Athletics is now proud to announce these will be regular features than fans can partake in if you are looking to expand your experience following the Purple and White.

The audio-only version of Capital home broadcasts will take any commentary provided on the video feed and provide an audio feed, exclusively. This will provide fans the ability to stream coverage via their mobile device or online at lower data consumption rates or at times in which watching video is not possible. Listen to your Crusaders at the office, at home, in the car, or whenever you are on the go!

All home events that are being streamed online will now also be fed into Facebook and streamed via Facebook Live. At the time the broadcast begins, a video feed from Capital University Athletics will be posted on its Facebook wall so fans can watch live, or come back later to view. Share our stream with your friends and family as you watch!

Fans may still follow Cap athletic events with streams that are provided on its website, athletics.capital.edu, where links to the normal feed and the audio-only feed can be found. Links are always posted on our Twitter feed (@CapCrusaders), with results posted on Twitter and Facebook after the conclusion of the event.

Fans can also enroll in the text message update program which was launched earlier this year, as well. Simply click here or go to http://athletics.capital.edu/list-signup and select which lists you would like to enroll in. The service is free, and you can manage your subscription to add or remove lists as you go.

Data and text message rates may apply.
