GIRL'S SOCCER

2019 ID Clinics
When: April 20th and June 8th, 2019 |  Open to girls grades 9-12
Where: Bernlohr Stadium, Capital University  |  10am - 3pm (optional campus tour from 2-3) 
Cost: $90

Capital Women's Soccer's College ID Clinic provides an insight into the training environment expected from a student athlete at Capital. Each of the field sessions are designed to be challenging and thoughtful with player centered development and creativity as their benchmark. Our clinics have been developed specifically for the female soccer player and the curriculum is appropriate for players looking to play college soccer. Players will work on individual technical training to enhance comfort and control on the ball, and then progress into more advanced tactical training which may cover:

  • Individual and team defending
  • Possession and midfield principles
  • Finishing with small group attacking. 
  • Mini tournaments and competitive matches (provides an opportunity for individuals to highlight their abilities in front of Capital’s coaching staff).
  • Individual GK sessions will be offered

At the conclusion of the field session we will hold a question and answer session for the players followed by a campus tour with the soccer staff and current players.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Spring Skills Clinic
April 28, 2019 |  Open to girls entering grades 3-12
Cost: $50
Where: The Capital Center, Capital University

We welcome all experience levels. All athletes will be put on a court based off of experience in order to provide appropriate instruction. We will do a progression of all skillsets throughout the clinic and end with a doubles competition.

Co-Ed Fundamentals Day Camp
July 8-11, 2019 |  Open to girls entering grades 3-7
Cost: $250
Where: The Capital Center, Capital University

This camp is meant for all skill levels. We aim to progress each skill which includes: serving, passing, setting and hitting. Additionally, we are committed to teaching the campers how to create short term and long term goals. There will be combination work and competition play during the last 1-2 hours each day at camp. Lunch will be provided at Capital’s Main Dining Room.

Co-ed JV and Varsity Skills Camp
July 8-11, 2019 |  Open to girls entering grades 8-12
Cost: $125
Where: The Capital Center, Capital University

This camp is meant for players who have at least 2-3 years experience. We aim to progress each skill which includes: serving, passing, setting and hitting. Additionally, we are committed to building teamwork and combination work between all of the campers. There will be combination work and competition play during the last hour each day at camp.

Elite Overnight Camp
July 12-14, 2019 |  Open to girls entering grades 8 through incoming college first-year
Cost - Residential: $350  |  Commuter: $300
Where: The Capital Center, Capital University

This camp is meant for players who have at least 2-3 years of high school varsity or club experience. This camp is committed to pushing each athlete to perform at the highest level. Outside of individual skillsets, the camp will focus on team serve receive, team defense, offensive schemes and overall game strategy. The last day of camp is dedicated solely to competition. Meals are provided throughout camp starting with dinner on Friday through breakfast on Sunday.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Day Camp I
June 3-6  |  Open to girls entering grades 3-9
Cost: $250
Where: The Capital Center, Capital University

This camp will highlight fundamental offensive and defensive basketball skills, emphasize improving and understanding basketball through individual and small group sessions, and is designed to assist campers in becoming scoring threats, as well as enhance their offensive and defensive skills. 

Shooting Camp
June 19-21  |  Open to girls entering grades 3-10
Cost: $285 (resident) or $225 (commuter)
Where: The Capital Center, Capital University

This is a positional and shooting camp used to develop guard and post fundamentals. This camp will encompass all facets of offensive development including ball handling, shooting, 1-on-1 moves, and much more. Camp runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, and 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. You may choose to commute each day or your camper may stay with us on campus as a resident in one of our on-site living spaces.

Day Camp II
June 24-27  |  Open to girls entering grades 3-9
Cost: $250
Where: The Capital Center, Capital University

This camp will highlight fundamental offensive and defensive basketball skills, emphasize improving and understanding basketball through individual and small group sessions, and is designed to assist campers in becoming scoring threats, as well as enhance their offensive and defensive skills.

Thank you for your interest in our summer basketball camps at Capital. Registration for our 2019 camps is open. Below is our EX E-Mail Enrollment procedure for camp. Please reply to the below questions and send your responses to dgoodwin@capital.edu. Once received, you will be sent an email invoice for your deposit/payment to complete through Square.com.

Fundamentals Day Camp

Cost: $260

Offensive and defensive fundamental basketball skills. Program designed to facilitate improvement and understanding of basketball through individual and small-group sessions. Lunch is provided each day. Individual competition and team contests throughout the session.
 

Offensive/Shooting Camp
June 9-11  |  Open to boys entering grades 4-8
Cost: $325 (resident) or $240 (commuter)
Where: The Capital Center, Capital University

Offensive skill development from shooting to footwork to moving without the ball. Concentrated program built around fundamentally solid method to assist campers in becoming scoring threats and better offensive players. Designed specifically to improve a young player’s offensive skill development.
 

Comprehensive Skills Camp
June 16-19  |  Open to boys entering grades 4-8
Cost: $425 (resident) or $320 (commuter)
Where: The Capital Center, Capital University

Total breakdown of each individual’s offensive and defensive abilities. Individual and team concepts taught and practiced to prepare for camp league games. Fundamentals stressed throughout the week. Focus on fundamental skill development. Designed for the competitive young player.
